PP and HDPE are light and corrosion proof for most installations. RCC and cast iron are used where the cover sits in a driveway or yard and has to take load. MS covers are chosen where a custom size or a hinged inspection lid is required.
450 by 450 mm is the most common for a standard inspection chamber. 300 mm is used for compact pits and 500 to 600 mm where the chamber has to accommodate test links and multiple connections.
